Ok, so you’re all wondering who we are? I’m sure many of our members already know us and who runs the club, but no doubt there is a few of you who we don’t see as much want to know who we are.
I’m Hunter (Chairman) the daft bugger with the moustache, quiet sort of chap usually lurking in the background somewhere.I’ve been running a LWB RAT (one of the old ones, uncut front) for the last ten years, but I’ve recently been rebuilding a CTR and that’s what I’m finishing off and running now.
Welcome to Carole Fagan who has recently taken over the role of SDBC Club Secretary. This means that I am now responsible for all sorts of things including arranging committee meetings, creating meeting agendas, minutes etc..I am also going to take on the SDBC Facebook admin and lots of other bits and pieces soon.
There is also Gary, he is the clubs treasurer and he is looking to have his very smart green buggy on the road this year, look out for it this year at a show near you!!
Then we have Peter, he is our tech guru and know loads of stuff about everything. Peter is a true hardcore buggy nut who drives his buggy Stella practically all year round. He is a real credit to club.
Emma, she is going to be looking after all the newsletter stuff and co-ordinating the rest of us when we need it. Emma is halfway through building her own buggy under the guidance of her husband.
Sam helps organising the events with the rest of the commitee, along with the genral running of the club and behind the scenes action.
But most importantly we are all buggy owners and we try to run this club as best we can for the benefit of other buggy owners, if you have any ideas how we could improve the club please let us know, your ideas are always helpful. We run this club purely out of our love for buggies, we dont earn a penny for anything we do, so please give us a break at times.
